It was touch and go there for a bit, but we’re on schedule now for a St. Patrick’s Day release!
All heroes start out as little boys, and Finn McCool is no exception. Finn and the Boys is the first book in a three-book series of pattern books telling stories from the Fenian Cycle of Irish mythology. In this first book, Finn wants the boys to play with him, but they won’t. How can he get them to play with him?
Even the youngest readers will enjoy finding out because my Finn the Hero series was written specifically for the very youngest emergent readers. It’s an “All-By-Myself!” pattern book for kindergarten and above early readers, focusing on common words, short vowel sounds, and simple syntax. Emergent readers will find success with Finn and will want to read it over and over again. Because they CAN!
Check out the trailer for Finn and the Boys, due out from Distinguished Press on March 17, 2016, written by Jennifer L. Gadd and illustrated by Adam Clark.
